A typical short call is 1–2 minutes. Most plans stay well inside their cap.
Solo’s 90 minutes covers ~40–90 short calls/month; Team’s 300 covers ~120–300; Business’s 900 covers ~360–900. If you do go over, overage is opt-in at $0.15/min and off by default: calls beyond your cap are politely declined unless you flip overage on. No surprise charges.

What happens if I hit my monthly minute cap?
With overage on (opt-in), Relay keeps answering at a flat $0.15/min, no surprise charges. With overage off, callers hear a short "this business has reached its monthly call limit, please try again next month" message and the call disconnects. Your Relay number stays online either way, flip overage on from the dashboard to resume instantly, or upgrade your plan.
Can I upgrade my plan later?
Yes. Upgrades are self-serve from your dashboard at any time, prorated to the day, and the new plan's features unlock immediately. Downgrades aren't self-serve yet; reach out to support and we'll handle it manually for you.
Do I need a Twilio account?
No. Relay provisions phone numbers and handles Twilio billing under the hood. You manage everything from one Relay dashboard.
Is the HubSpot integration really only on Business?
Yes. The native HubSpot integration is exclusive to the Business plan. On Solo or Team, you can still push data to HubSpot through Zapier, but the native sync (auto-upsert Contacts, AI summary as a Note on the contact, Tasks for urgent calls, Meetings for booked appointments) requires Business.
Can I cancel?
Anytime, from your dashboard. No phone tree, no retention agent. Access continues through the paid period; we don't auto-rebill once you cancel.
How does the free demo work?
After you create a Relay account, you can place a demo call to a real phone number you choose. Our AI receptionist calls you, demonstrates the experience, and emails you a summary, no payment required. Demo calls are limited to 3 per day so you can try a few different scenarios (English, Spanish, urgent caller, polite caller) and hear exactly what your customers will hear before subscribing.
